LOKI - The basil highly tolerant to the races of mildew present in Europe

In recent years, basil crops have been heavily attacked by mildew. This fungus deforms and wilts the leaves. It causes spots (chlorotic lesions) and makes the plant unmarketable. Genetic improvement is currently the only effective solution to combat this pathogen.
On the basis of this analysis, our development team selected a new Genovese type variety with a high tolerance to the races of mildew present in Europe: Loki.
It is based on the genetics and know-how of a specialist aromatics breeder, HILD Samen, whose activities were taken over by GRAINES VOLTZ in June 2020. This variety, available in both conventional and organic seed, will provide you with a real solution and secure your production.
It combines an original Genovese aroma with a very good homogeneity in cultivation. Its behaviour in cold conditions is also notable.
